EVC Named Authorized Reseller for DigitalGlobe

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - East View Cartographic (EVC), a leader in geospatial data acquisition
and GIS production services, has signed an agreement with DigitalGlobe to be an
Authorized Reseller of DigitalGlobe's high resolution commercial imagery. DigitalGlobe is a leading global content provider of world imagery solutions sourced directly from its own
commercial constellation of high resolution satellites and aerial network. Its constellation is comprised of QuickBird and WorldView-1, with WorldView-2 scheduled
to launch in the third quarter of this year.
"This strategic partnership allows us to provide high-resolution content to our
customers in such varied markets as energy and natural resources, government, avionics,
and academic libraries," said Kent D. Lee, President and CEO of EVC. "DigitalGlobe's
timely collections and updates, combined with our vast collection of global topographic
maps and geospatial data, will enable EVC to create the highest quality 3D products
including digital surface models (DSM) and digital terrain models (DTM) along with
a full range of customized imagery solutions."
EVC has long been a worldwide source of commercial satellite imagery and aerial
photography. With access to DigitalGlobe's up-to-date, comprehensive ImageLibrary
of over 600 million square kilometers, EVC's expert staff can offer services such
as feature extraction, orthorectification, mosaicing, imagery analysis, and color/tonal
balancing. Imagery can also be used as a basis for the creation of new topographic
maps with current features. EVC has also produced maps fully compliant with NGA
requirements including TLMs, JOGs, and other standard formats.
