Antti Jakobsson, Project leader at EuroGeographics for the EU-funded ESDIN Project - European SDI Best Practice Network - has announced that the project is planning a number of events during this spring and later of this year. Exact dates will be announced soon, but in the meantime, consider if you should prepare to participate in the events mentioned below:
1. Programme for National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies
ESDIN will launch a special programme targeted to our members in order to prepare your own implementation of INSPIRE/ExM specifications. If you join this programme you can participate to the work of the WPs but also participate to the events planned. A number of webinars are planned and a training seminar of implementation of transformation to ExM. We will give details of this in our coming newsletters.
[Note: ExM is the INSPIRE-related data specification being developed by the project for 6 data themes, based on existing data productsEuroGlobalMap (EGM), EuroRegionalMap (ERM) and EuroBoundaryMap (EBM).]
2. Stakeholder events for all
A Key user group meeting is planned and WP3 will be contacting key users soon.
A workshop on pricing and licensing is also planned and details will be also available soon.
3. Events for vendors and VARs interested to implement ExM and/or use ESDIN services
These events are going to happen in autumn. Details will be availble before summer break.
