ERDAS at GIS in the Rockies Conference

Norcross, GA — ERDAS Inc. announces its participation in the GIS in the Rockies 2010 conference, September 14-16, at The Ranch at the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex in Loveland, CO.

“The GIS in the Rockies conference provides a platform for interacting with users and business partners in this region,” said Mladen Stojic, Sr. Vice President of Product Management and Marketing, ERDAS. “ERDAS provides the most comprehensive portfolio of solutions for authoring, managing, connecting and delivering geospatial information relevant for decision-making processes.”

Exhibiting in booth #18, ERDAS is showcasing ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS and ERDAS APOLLO. ERDAS IMAGINE combines remote sensing and GIS capabilities, enabling users to create superior 2D and 3D images, 3D flythrough movies, and cartographic-quality map compositions from geospatial data. It includes a complete array of tools to efficiently classify, mosaic and compress imagery. LPS is a complete suite of photogrammetric tools, ideal for a range of geospatial imaging applications. It generates triangulated imagery, digital terrain models, and orthophotos to 3D feature data using advanced algorithms, an intuitive workflow and a wide choice of input and output formats.

ERDAS is also highlighting ERDAS APOLLO, an Open Geospatial Consortium and International Organization for Standardization (OGC/ISO) compliant enterprise solution for spatial data management, image serving and web mapping. ERDAS APOLLO solves the business problems associated with managing and serving large volumes of geospatial data located and distributed across an organization. ERDAS APOLLO simplifies the utilization of vector, raster and terrain data.

The conference theme is “Endless Opportunities for the Next Decade,” focusing on the exciting opportunities offered by the growth of the geospatial information and technology industry in the years ahead. For more information about GIS in the Rockies, please visit the link below.
