ERDAS Rocks World Tour - coming to you!

ERDAS Rocks World Tour - coming to you!

Norcross, GA — ERDAS announces a world tour promoting its 2010 Software Release, providing an opportunity for attendees to experience the power and excitement of this significant release locally. With more than 30 years of experience pioneering geospatial solutions, attendees will see the fusion and culmination of innovation in the ERDAS 2010 Software Release

In collaboration with TecnoGeo, the first ERDAS Rocks event will be held in Madrid, Spain on October 30 at the Conference Center Hotel Meliá Avenida de América. Other cities on the world tour in 2009 include Johannesburg, South Africa; Moscow, Russia; Rome, Italy; Atlanta, Georgia, USA and Alexandria, Virginia, USA, with more events planned globally in 2010.

With a new look and feel, ERDAS 2010 makes it easier than ever to quickly access tools. Focusing on customer benefits, these events provide a platform to introduce the new desktop and enterprise product releases. ERDAS Rocks events will feature a comprehensive set of interoperable workflows, introduce participants to useful features and provide tips and tricks applicable to geospatial information users of all skill levels.

ERDAS 2010 includes a new release of ERDAS IMAGINE, ERDAS ER Mapper, LPS, ERDAS Extensions for ArcGIS, ERDAS ADE, ERDAS APOLLO and the ERDAS TITAN Client.

ERDAS IMAGINE 2010 is many solutions in one, incorporating image analysis, remote sensing and GIS. Featuring a new ribbon interface, ERDAS IMAGINE makes it easier for users to navigate and customize their workspace. ERDAS IMAGINE also provides enhanced tools for parallel batch processing, spatial modeling, map production, mosaicking and change detection. LPS 2010 is a powerful photogrammetry system for a variety of workflows, including defense, remote-area mapping, transportation planning, orthophoto production (for basemap generation), 3D stereo feature collection and close-range applications. ERDAS APOLLO 2010 is customizable, equipped to fully understand, competently manage and rapidly serve an organization’s large volumes of geospatial data. ERDAS APOLLO implements an out-of-the box Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), that provides a publish, find and bind workflow for any data type. With a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), ERDAS APOLLO provides an interactively connected framework to support the management and serving of spatial data, metadata and maps. ERDAS APOLLO contains the most interoperable geoprocessing services in the industry.

“We are excited to launch the ERDAS Rocks World Tour, bringing together customers and partners around the world to showcase how this new release meets their needs,” said Mladen Stojic, Senior Vice President, Product Management and Marketing, ERDAS. “ERDAS Software 2010 is a comprehensive portfolio of interoperable geospatial solutions, providing greater value, productivity, usability and performance.”
