ERDAS Announces a Free Webinar

ERDAS announces Simplify Your Image Processing and Compression with ERDAS ER Mapper, a free webinar on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 2 a.m. and 11 a.m. (EDT).

ERDAS ER Mapper is a wizard-based, low cost image processing solution used extensively throughout the extractive industries. With ERDAS ER Mapper, imagery can be quickly enhanced and then used in GIS, CAD, desktop or server applications. Along with a powerful projections engine, ERDAS ER Mapper also includes a 64-bit compressor, equipped to handle images more than 5 TB in size. Offering unlimited JPEG2000 and ECW compression, you can shrink your image dataset to as little as 5% of its original size, retaining the visual quality.

Each month, ERDAS is offering at least two different webinar topics. To meet the needs of ERDAS’ global audience, most webinars will be hosted twice on a scheduled day. In addition to a live presentation and demonstration, each webinar also includes the opportunity for customers to interact directly with the presenter. Scheduled to last forty-five minutes, each webinar will include approximately thirty minutes of presented material and fifteen minutes for Q&A.
