Longmont, Colo., July 29, 2008 — DigitalGlobe, a leading provider of high resolution satellite world imagery products and services, today announced the appointment of Judith McHale and Warren Jensen to the DigitalGlobe board of directors, effective immediately.
Judith McHale most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Discovery Communications, Inc., the parent company of cable television’s Discovery Channel. At Discovery Communications, she previously served as president and chief operating officer, as well as executive vice president and general counsel. She currently also serves on the boards for Polo/Ralph Lauren, and Host Hotels and Resorts.
Warren Jensen most recently served as executive vice president, chief financial and administrative officer for Electronic Arts. Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Amazon.com, and executive vice president and chief financial officer for Delta Air Lines and held several positions with General Electric, Inc., including senior vice president and chief financial officer for NBC, a subsidiary of General Electric.
“Adding these two highly accomplished and respected executives further strengthens our board, adding highly valued skills and expertise in key areas of growth and focus for the company,” said Jill Smith, chief executive officer of DigitalGlobe. “Judith’s expertise in monetizing content assets, combined with Warren’s strong financial management background will provide expert guidance to DigitalGlobe as the company seeks to capitalize on market growth opportunities for commercial satellite imagery.”
