DigitalGlobe becomes GIS Development Sponsor

GIS Development announces DigitalGlobe as its Corporate Sponsor

19 June 2007, NOIDA, India: GIS Development, a premier communications network organisation working towards promotion of Geospatial technologies, announces its second Corporate Sponsor for 2007 - DigitalGlobe
Incorporated, the leading content provider of the world’s highest resolution commercial satellite imagery and geospatial information products. Earlier this year, Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging has also joined GIS
Development as a Corporate Sponsor.
The tie up between DigitalGlobe and GIS Development will result in sharing of knowledge and expertise by the global Earth imagery and geospatial information expert to educate and update readers of GIS Development's print and e-publications. Technology users will also get an opportunity to view and learn of the latest imagery
advancements introduced by DigitalGlobe through its participation at the various Conferences and Exhibitions organised by GIS Development.

DigitalGlobe Inc., as the world leader for geospatial content, products and related services, is the only geospatial content company to provide an end-to-end solution for global acquisition, access and distribution
of both aerial and satellite imagery. During the recently held Map Middle East 2007 conference in Dubai, Dr. Marc Tremblay, Vice President and General Manager, Commercial Business Unit, DigitalGlobe Inc. presented
the company's end-to-end solution approach to content acquisition and distribution and addressed questions on why it is important in this era of the geospatial web. DigitalGlobe's services are helping new groups of users to increase the usage of imagery in their decision making, and reaping the benefits of increased visibility into real world scenarios when viewed through global imagery.
In August this year, DigitalGlobe will also present another Technology Track during Map Asia 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The latest products and other services of the Earth Imagery giant can be seen at the
exhibition at Map Asia 2007.

Expressing his pleasure at the tie up, the Chief Executive Officer of GIS Development, Mr. Sanjay Kumar said, “It is extremely pleasant news for us at GIS Development to have DigitalGlobe as a Corporate Partner for
2007. We are sure the expertise and technological know-how that DigitalGlobe will contribute through for our publications and conferences will be of immense use and interest to our audience. In view of our past
relation, we are sure this too will be a mutually fruitful association for both the companies.”

Dr. Tremblay added: "For many years now, GIS Development's contributions to the geospatial industry have been significant. We are pleased to partner with them in their efforts to further expand the reach and awareness of the industry, which has seen explosive growth in recent years. We have only begun to scratch
the surface of how geospatial technology can be used to improve the day-to-day lives of people all over the world."
