Definiens Strengthens its North American Team

Morristown, NJ, USA / Munich, Germany – July 25th, 2007 – Definiens, the number one Enterprise Image Intelligence™ company, is preparing for further growth and has formally appointed Greg Calaman as Vice President of its operations in North America. Mr. Calaman has been a member of Definiens’ management team since April 2006. His promotion to the role of Vice President of the North American Operations reflects Definiens success in this market, as the company continues to grow its revenue and customer base.

“Definiens currently generates approximately 50 percent of its revenues from the North American market and we see Greg’s experience as a valuable asset to our continued long term growth,” said Definiens’ CEO Thomas Heydler. “The Definiens North American team has recently won major new customers in Life Sciences and Earth Sciences markets, contributing to a continued growth of our North American operations. We are encouraged by the acceptance of the Definiens Enterprise Image Intelligence Suite in the largest software market in the world and continue to invest in a further expansion under Greg’s leadership.”

Mr. Calaman joined Definiens from Pfizer, where he was part of the worldwide IT leadership team. Prior to Pfizer, Mr. Calaman was responsible for the professional services organization at BEA, and founded a healthcare technology company specialized in the cardiovascular outpatient market.

Mr. Calaman is a graduate of the US Naval Academy holding a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and has completed an executive business curriculum at Wharton. In addition to his work, he serves on the Advisory Council of the Krall Center for Executive Education at Drexel University and on the Board of Advisors to the Trestle Group Foundation of London.
