DIMAC Systems selected twice more

DIMAC Systems selected twice more

LONGMONT (Colorado), January 8, 2009 – DIMAC Systems, a leading global provider of digital aerial imagery solutions today announced it has been selected as privileged partner to supply two Mexican providers of cartography and geomatics services with the renowned DiMAC WiDE camera from their successful DiMAC™ (Digital Modular Aerial Camera) product family.

DIMAC Systems has signed agreements with two of the key digital cartography and geomatics players that serve the South and Central American market, Argeomática S.A de C.V and CartoData to equip them with DiMAC WiDE cameras. Both are Mexico-based companies that offer photogrammetry, geomatics and digital cartography services to local and international public and private institutions.

“We are very glad and excited that two more providers in the cartographic field, CartoData and Argeomática have selected DIMAC Systems as their privileged supplier for their digital aerial cameras and we look forward to substantially expanding our business in North and Latin America”, said Mike Williams, DIMAC Systems Commercial Manager North America. “Their selection of our state-of-the-art DIMAC WiDE cameras is another signal that more and more discerning geomatics and photogrammetry providers recognise the unparalleled, yet affordable quality of our digital cameras and how our DIMAC product range can help them further grow their business when it comes to serving customers with first-class digital aerial photography services.”

The DiMACWiDE is a large format aerial camera (10,500 x 7,200 Mp) that provides accuracy and clarity that can only be obtained through TRUE forward motion compensation. In addition, the DiMACWiDE features DiMAC’s TRUE Color acquisition, seamlessly combining the images from 2 Camera Modules into a single frame, with no post-processing required to produce the final color frame tiff image. The result is a geometrically and radiometrically correct frame that can be used for both photogrammetric and orthophoto applications, with clear visibility of features in both heavy shadows and highly exposed bright areas. This proven DiMAC camera module technology yields the sharpest imagery with the most realistic color on the market.

Equipped with DiMAC’s latest generation IT Rack - the lightest and most compact on-board large format digital aerial control system in the world - , the camera can be configured with a range of lens and filter options. The DiMAC WiDE is fully calibrated for mapping applications to accuracies that meet or exceed all digital aerial camera systems after extensive redevelopment of calibration methodology, all this at the lowest cost on the market.
