DGI 2009 Conference

Fifth European Geospatial Intelligence Conference (DGI 2009) will take place on January 19-22, 2009 in London.

DGI conference is an annual event bringing together heads of defense and government geospatial intelligence community of the world leading countries, as well as representatives of remote sensing, geoinformatics and web-mapping industries.

International conflicts prevention and response, security and border control, climate changes, emergencies and technological disasters monitoring – this is by far not the complete list of issues, tackled by DGI 2009 from the viewpoint of implementing technology innovations and integrated architecture solutions.

Over 200 organizations and agencies have already confirmed their participation in January conference. Traditionally, Russia is represented at DGI exhibition by defense industry enterprises. For the first time the Russian private company ScanEx RDC, the leader on the Russian market of remote sensing data reception and processing, will take part in this conference.

ScanEx specialists will speak about the implemented and pending projects on the creation of RS Centers at universities based on the universal small-size «UniScan» ground receiving station and the unique software for space data processing and display.

The new joint proposal of the Russian ScanEx RDC and Israeli ImageSat Int. for higher education institutions will be voiced at the conference: supply of UniScan ground station with one-year license to free reception of 100 scenes from EROS A satellite (spatial resolution of 1,9 m).

”DGI 2009 will give a fresh start to geo-spatial data distribution activities in a new direction, - assures ScanEx Vice-President Olga Gershenzon. “I’m glad to note that Russia is represented on this market with competitive hi-tech products”.
