CycloMedia continues unique project LuchtfotoNL

Waardenburg, 2009 – In the coming three years, CycloMedia Technology will offer
nationwide aerial photography of The Netherlands on an annual basis at extremely high resolution. This project will be executed in a strategic alliance with Aerodata International Surveys from Belgium.

Aerial Imagery that was a new product for CycloMedia in 2008, will be continued in the coming 3 years. In the first quarter of this year, the first flights have been conducted. Large parts of the Dutch provinces Limburg,
Noord-Brabant and the area of Amsterdam have already been covered. Based on the results of its own market research, CycloMedia will maintain a ground resolution of 10cms. The large-scale, systematic approach of CycloMedia guarantees a nationwide uniform quality of aerial photography at a competitive price.
Besides aerial imagery, CycloMedia is involved in the production of 360 degree spherical panoramic images at street level. These images are taken at a five meter interval on every road in The Netherlands on a yearly basis.
These street images combined with high resolution aerials, result in important contribution to the work processes of CycloMedia’s clients such as central, regional & local government, critical infrastructure, homeland security and financial institutions. Combining street imagery with aerial imagery enables CycloMedia to continue its research in
automatic 3D modelling.

Stereo10 and Ortho10

For the aerial imagery CycloMedia offers 2 products: a country covering 10 centimetre resolution ortho photo file and a complete set of triangulated able stereo images of The Netherlands. Ortho10 is the country covering photo mosaic, mainly used for visual purposes in GIS and CAD applications. Stereo10 includes individual images, suitable for digital mapping at high accuracy and precision.

New partner

With the continuation of the aerial imagery, CycloMedia will work in close cooperation with a new strategic partner Aerodata International Surveys. The aerial photography can be delivered to the customer on hard disks as well as through aeroGRID®, the online data application of Aerodata. The strategic alliance with Aerodata is set for at least 3 years.

About Aerodata International Surveys

Aerodata International Surveys, one of the most important suppliers of aerials in Europe, is also active in Africa and the
Middle-East. Its core business is the collection of aerial data and the production of high quality geo information products such
as ortho photo mosaics.

Aerodata’s production unit involves at least 5 airplanes which are equipped with digital cameras, including several of the newest Vexcel Utracam X-Prime cameras. Aerodata’s images are used in a great number of professional environments as well as in popular web applications like Google Earth. Aerodata’s extensive aeroGRID® online data application offers clients a quick and secure access to aerial content.
