Chambéry latest in France to move to Sepura

Chambéry, capital of the Savoy region in the French Alps, is to equip its police
with Sepura's STP8000 TETRA radio.

In an order secured by SYSOCO, Sepura's partner in France, Chambéry follows the lead
of many other towns and cities which have chosen Sepura radios for their mission
critical communications.

Rugged and durable, the STP8000's high transmitter power extends network coverage in
this mountainous terrain, where lower powered radios could struggle. This, together
with very high audio output, provides exceptionally clear reception.

The municipality's police needed a system that is secure from the risk of
eavesdropping and provides easy to use radios, and after extensive testing chose
Sepura's market-leading radios to achieve these objectives.

The municipal bus, water and refuse departments already use Sepura radios, and now
all the municipal agencies will be able to communicate effectively on one shared
radio network.

Pierre Letta, Marketing Director for SYSOCO, said: "This is yet another example of
varying services within a town or city taking advantage of the TETRA network, to
provide communications that enable increased efficiency."

Richard Redgrave, Sepura's Regional Director, added: "As well as being yet another
municipal police force to order Sepura radios, it highlights the strong appeal of
the STP8000 radio which will ensure uninterrupted coverage in this mountain region."
