January 22, 2009 - Today, Camptocamp announced the release of MapFish-1.1. MapFish, an Open Source framework, was created by Camptocamp and improved through the continual inputs
of the community of developers, especially in the area of graphical user interface.
MapFish runs a JavaScript Web 2.0 library so as to offer users a clear and ergonomic interface. Besides, MapFish can be deployed on Php, Java, Ruby or Python web servers, widening the compatibility of the development environments of users.
Demos and samples are available at the web site below, as is the download for MapFish-1.0
This release incorporates numerous developments, including -
Server-side components:
Plugin for Rails
Printing of vector layers
Client-side components:
Recenter widget
Layer tree context menus
Feature store
Google Earth/MapFish integration example
Print action (print button in a toolbar)
This release is also the occasion for Camptocamp to thank all contributors and users!
