Cadcorp GeognoSIS powers FIND’s interactive tools

Stevenage, Herts, UK. 7 July, 2009. FIND Mapping Limited (‘FIND’) recently launched their new website; the UK's most advanced interactive site assessment tool for businesses. The website gives property and environmental professionals instant access to information about a property or development site and its surrounding area, in one central online location.

Implemented including Cadcorp GeognoSIS and Adobe® Flex™ technologies, the website provides an innovative map service to various markets. Registered users include representatives of property companies, environmental consultants and insurance organisations. Data available through the site includes the FIND Map which is based on the Ordnance Survey MasterMap Topography layer. Created by FIND, it incorporates a carefully developed detailed colour key to highlight property-related elements and provides a view of OS MasterMap that is clear and easy to navigate and interpret for property purposes. Other data available includes information from Natural England, English Heritage, the Environment Agency and local authorities.

Users accessing the service report that they can assess sites faster for more efficient and informed decision making; identify development opportunities around a particular site; give reports and presentations more impact, depth and quality; and use accurate desktop analysis to reduce site visits, saving time and money while increase productivity and being able to handle more projects.
