Bluesky rewarded as ‘CATALIST’ accredited supplier

Bluesky rewarded as ‘CATALIST’ accredited supplier

Bluesky International, the UK based aerial survey specialist, has been approved as an accredited OGCbuying.solutions Catalist supplier. OGCbuying.solutions, an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the Treasury, provides professional procurement services to the public sector through framework agreements, delivered under the Catalist brand, and their Managed Services operation. Bluesky successfully underwent a rigorous selection process including review of their technical, environmental and financial capabilities and strengths in order to secure accredited supplier status within the GI Mapping and Data Services framework agreement.

“To be one of only a handful of suppliers within this specialised category and one of the selected specialists in geographic information services is an enormous honour,” said Rachel Tidmarsh, Managing Director of Bluesky. “We already work closely with many public sector organisations and hope that this achievement will further strengthen our position within the market.”

OGCbuying.solutions helps government organisations to deliver improved value for money in their commercial activities and provides professional support, advice on technical issues and suggestions for energy saving and environmental improvements. All public sector organisations can benefit from substantial savings achieved as a result of significant buying power, economies of scale and strategic partnerships. In addition, OGCbuying.solutions estimates they can save their customers, on average, 77 days plus associated costs, by enabling them to bypass the pre purchase stages of procurement.

“As an accredited Catalist supplier our customers can be assured that we have a proven track record,” continued Tidmarsh. “In addition, the procurement process will be compliant with current legislation, they will have full contractual protection and they will be guaranteed highly competitive prices plus a simplified ordering process”.

OGCbuying.solutions framework agreements are a set of pre-tendered contracts with a range of suppliers through which public sector customers, including Local and Central Government, Education, Emergency Services, Devolved Administrations, Health (NHS), Defence, Not for Profit and Utility customers can purchase goods and services.

Bluesky is a UK based company specialising in aerial imaging and remote sensing data collection and processing. With projects extending around the globe it has an international reputation for the creation of seamless digital aerial photography and 3D landscape / cityscape visualisations. Bluesky’s national mapping centre provides digital mapping, site maps, satellite imagery and detailed aerial photography.
