Blom contract in the Czech Republic

Blom has signed a contract with the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (CUZK) in Pardubice, the national mapping agency of the Czech Republic. Accompanied by local partner Pap a Spol in Most, Blom will deliver digital aerial photography covering 1/3 of the Czech Republic, totaling a 29,125 sq.km area. The project will be completed in third quarter 2010.
"This is the first time the Czech national mapping agency awards such a significant project to a foreign company. This underlines Blom’s excellent standing in Europe and the company’s ability to execute large projects of outstanding quality in a short time” says Werner Mayr, Managing Director Blom Deutschland. “For Blom, this project is an exciting challenge and a great opportunity to establish a fruitful partnership which can lead to further contract wins in the future", Werner continues.
Blom will capture the data using UltraCamXp digital frame cameras, and the images will be delivered with a resolution of 20 cm.
