Blom aerial survey contract for Tunisia, Africa

Blom CGR, Blom’s subsidiary in Italy, has signed a partnership agreement with OTC, the Topography and Cadastre Office of Tunisia, for delivery of aerial photography services. The contract includes an aerial photography survey, covering 25.000 km², and technical support to set up a digital photogrammetric production chain in the OTC. More than 95% of the survey will be executed by using high-tech digital cameras.

“We believe this contract is a result of Blom’s strong market position, both in the domestic Italian market and in the African market for aerial remote sensing platforms services, and role as a strategic partner for OTC in the African market”, says Giovanni Banchini, Managing Director Blom CGR. ”Our skilled technicians enable us to provide all services required by the contract, as previously delivered to oil companies in the same region”, he continues.

Blom will use several airplanes in order to execute the survey in a very short period of time. Film development and post-processing of the digital photo flights will be carried out in Tunisia.
