Axiom enhances CellManager for MicroStation

July 17, 2007 - Clearwater, Florida, USA -- Axiom, the world's largest independent provider of general-purpose MicroStation software utilities, announces it's newest release of CellManager for V8.

One of the most significant enhancements in this release is CellManager's ability to open and manipulate multiple cell libraries simultaneously. Users can select one or more cells from each library and, with a couple of easy mouse clicks, can direct CellManager to move cells between libraries, standardize cell symbology, scale selected cells, rotate selected cells, update fonts and perform text substitutions in cells. CellManager can perform any of these functions (and more) on hundreds of cells -- in many different libraries -- all at the same time.

This Month's Burning Issue...
Each month we select a hot topic and a leading figure in the industry to write about it.
This month's burning issue:

What message are we sending to senior level decision makers about the importance and value of Spatial Data Infrastructure - SDI - if we keep misrepresenting what SDI is or is all about?

In previous editorials in this magazine I have touched on various SDI issues, especially now that the pan-European SDI has achieved a legally mandated status within the European Union's 27 Member States. Yet I fear that the Geographic Information community - or communities, for there are many - continue to… More…
