AtlasCT releases version 3.2 of AtlasMobile API

Ramat-Gan, Israel, October 13 – AtlasCT is announcing the release of version 3.2, the newest version of AtlasMobile API, an advanced package for location-based mobile applications development.

The AtlasMobile API is designed for fast development of location-based applications in Java ME. The new version of AtlasMobile API is the most advanced in the market and most unique by its small footprint, high performance and low memory usage. It is compatible with low-end to high-end mobile devices either equpped with GPS or not. AtlasMobile API is modular and composed of three packages:

• Maps
o Worldwide street maps, satellite imagery and hybrid maps
o Interactive map allowing zooming, panning and dragging
o Search addresses, points-of-Interest (POIs) and driving directions
o Custom layers and dynamic content display
o Keypad and touch screen support
o Extendable Plug-ins and Widgets based framework

• Positioning
o Acquiring real time location and displaying it on the map
o Supports both internal and external GPS receivers

•Rich Multimedia
o Ability to play sounds and voices within the application
o Taking snapshots from phone camera
o Sending location or other information via SMS or MMS

AtlasMobile API is compatible with Java ME (J2ME) mobile phones and smartphones on 2G-3.5G and has a long track record of success running on Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, Motorola, LG and more devices.

The most outstanding fact is that 100% of companies who chose AtlasMobile API for their maps and location-based platform became semifinalists in NAVTEQ LBS Challenge for over 2 years in all regions.
