ArcSquirrel shares its nuts!

“ArcSquirrel really is the tool I've been dreaming of! The solution of putting a data upload tool right in ArcMap is perfect!” University researcher, USA. “... it's really taken away my data upload headaches! Now when I'm satisfied with a shapefile, I can just hit the ArcSquirrel button, and in a few seconds, the data's off to SQL Server.”

ArcSquirrel, the much applauded enabler of ArcGIS/SQL Server connectivity, is showing its charitable side. Registered charities and non-profit organisations can now obtain ArcSquirrel licences free of charge*.

Taken in combination with ESRI’s recent announcement of free ArcGIS licences for charities* and the availability of Microsoft’s free SQL Server Express, charities and other non-profit organisations can now build extremely robust and powerful systems, that deliver good network performance, at very low cost.

ArcSquirrel turns ArcGIS into an editing client for SQL Server, without the need for additional middleware or licensing. A demonstration version of the software is available for free download from www.ArcSquirrel.com. ArcSquirrel’s compatibility with ArcGIS 10 has now been confirmed and the recently announced API allows developers to integrate ArcSquirrel functionality into custom ArcGIS or ArcGIS Engine applications.
