Airborne 1 Uses Twitter to Help Clients Save Money

El Segundo, CA – August 14, 2009 – Airborne 1, the industry leader in LiDAR and oblique imagery remote sensing services, is now on Twitter, providing clients with a unique, cutting-edge way to save money on their mapping projects.

Anyone can follow Airborne 1 on Twitter to find out at any given time where any one of Airborne 1’s many LiDAR sensors and oblique cameras are positioned. Clients who have potential projects in those areas can then contact Airborne 1 to take advantage of steep “roadshow” discounts.

“We’re excited to offer Twitter as a new cost-saving benefit to our clients,” said Todd Stennett, CEO of Airborne 1. “We’ve always offered the Airborne 1 ‘roadshow’ as a way for clients to save money—if our equipment is already in their project area, we traditionally offer substantial discounts on ferrying fees. One challenge, though, has been our lack of ability to notify clients in time to take advantage of reduced prices.

For the first time, thanks to Twitter, we can provide our clients real-time updates on where we are working, so that they can take immediate advantage of this discount program.”
