SAN FRANCISCO, CA and APPLETON, WI – September 2, 2009 – Urban Mapping™, Inc. (UMI) and American Digital Cartography Inc. (ADCi) today announced that ADCi has signed a reseller’s agreement to offer the URBANWARE® Neighborhoods database to its customers in the local and state government, transportation, education, utilities and Internet and wireless industries. ADCi is a leading distributor for both NAVTEQ® and Tele Atlas™ street data, selling data by the county, group of counties, state, group of states, or the entire country. With the Urban Mapping data, ADCi can now offer a new layer of information for customers requiring accurate and useable neighborhood data.
“This product is a nice compliment to the NAVTEQ and Tele Atlas street data that we currently license; expanding our product portfolio and making ADCi a 'one-stop' shop for our customer’s map data needs,” said Jim Reid, President, ADCi. “We believe the neighborhood data will be of special interest to our customers with business, Internet or government applications where neighborhood data may be more recognizable or relevant to the end user – especially in large cities.”
“ADCi has offered map data products for over 20 years and is experienced in packaging data for its customers to meet their specific needs,” stated Ian White, CEO of Urban Mapping. “Through the use of our neighborhood data, ADCi customers can provide greater value for applications where precise, location-relevant information is needed.”
