AAM and AOC Embrace the World Cup

AAM and AOC Embrace the World Cup

Just as football brings the nations of the world together, AAM and partner company AOC Geomatics have embraced football’s greatest tournament and brought together world leading technology and sources of visual intelligence to provide Pictometry Online® access for viewing of hundreds of high resolution oblique aerial images of South Africa’s football stadiums and surrounds.

AOC Geomatics have recently completed the Pictometry aerial capture for the ten stadiums being used for the World Cup in South Africa. These stadiums are all accessible via Pictometry Online, allowing users to view every location from 5 directions as well as making measurements directly on the images and integrate the images easily with online map services.

“AAM and AOC are excited to share the latest oblique imagery with their clients and football fans around the world. Pictometry Online allows users to quickly locate, display and use imagery online and the hosting system eliminates the need for costly image storage or IT support” says Brian Nicholls, General Manager at AAM, “To celebrate world football and Pictometry Online, we are pleased to provide Pictometry Online access, free of charge for a limited time.”

AAM and AOC have also created fully rendered, very high resolution 3D models for the Soccer City, Ellis Park, Cape Town and Nelson Mandela Stadiums. AAM and AOC Geomatics are constantly
updating their Pictometry Online coverage, with extensive coverage over Australia, South Africa and New Zealand already available.
Sign up for your free Pictometry Online trial, play the videos or contact AAM to purchase the full 3D models. For more information on Pictometry Online and to organise your FREE TRIAL, visit us online at the links below.
