DigitalGlobe is proud to play a role in what has become an amazing global response to the tragedy in Haiti. At this point we've captured the entire country of Haiti with high-resolution cloud-free imagery. Our imagery has been downloaded by thousands of GIS users, included in GPS devices, used to create maps that were carried by first responders and viewed by millions of people around the globe.
ImageConnect Free Access Ends 29 January 2010.
For those of you who are using our Crisis Event Service imagery through an ImageConnect plug-in, the two-week free access is scheduled to end tomorrow. We hope that it proved valuable to you as you were assisting with the relief and recovery efforts. The GeoTIFF Imagery will continue to be available on our FTP servers for a limited time.
If you routinely need rapid access to high-resolution imagery of crises that occur around the globe, please contact us to learn about DigitalGlobe's Crisis Event Service.
DigitalGlobe's Crisis Event Service aids disasters around the world
DigitalGlobe's online Crisis Event Service provides fast web-based access to pre- and post-event imagery of world disasters. When a major disaster is identified, DigitalGlobe’s satellite constellation acquires timely post-event imagery of effected areas within 1 to 3 days.
Connect your organization to the service in the way that best meets your needs. Choose from our web plug-ins for GIS software, A WMS service, or our API’s and SDK’s for custom map server and java applications.
