1Spatial supports GITA 2008

21st August 2008, Cambridge, UK. 1Spatial is pleased to be actively involved in the GITA 2008 Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference as a bronze sponsor. The event takes place from the 25th to 27th August at the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park, Australia.

1Spatial will also be giving a number of presentations throughout the three-day event. Graham Stickler, Product and Marketing Director of 1Spatial, will be giving a presentation during the pre-conference CAD/GIS Integration Workshop on 25th August, entitled 'The Data Challenges / Aspects of CAD GIS Integration'.

Following the workshop, Graham will present in one of the main conference sessions on 'True Convergence...CAD/GIS Integration', providing a specialist focus on spatial data quality with a presentation titled 'Enabling data integration using quantitative special data quality techniques'. The presentation, which takes place in the afternoon of 26th August, will examine the data quality issues that can hamper both reuse and sharing of spatial data, and explain how advances in geospatial standards and IT technology can now allow for the quantitative measure and communication of data quality.

Delegates will also be able to view 1Spatial solutions in the conference exhibition, as two of 1Spatial's partner organisations will be on hand to discuss 1Spatial's Radius suite of products. Open Spatial has been a Reseller with 1Spatial for over three years and is a master Reseller of Radius Topology. Geomatic Technologies is a new partner and specialises in Geospatial and mobile technologies.

Graham Stickler, 1Spatial Product and Marketing Director, commented:

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to highlight the rapidly emerging topic of geospatial data convergence and the importance of geospatial data quality with the support of two key organisations in the Australian geospatial market. This is an exciting time for 1Spatial as we continue to grow in Australia."

In conjunction with GITA, the Australian Oracle Spatial User Group Meeting is being held on Thursday 28th August. Graham will be the first Keynote Speaker of the day, addressing the group on the subject of 'Torrents of Terabytes'.
