7th ALLSAT Open 2010
Actual and future international developments on GNSS reference networks and complex applications will be discussed.
Since mid-90s ALLSAT has been developing GNSS Real-Time systems for surveying and precise navigation. Later, GNSS reference network services have been added to the portfolio. Users of such Real Time Systems are facing an increasing complexity in both reference services and applications. Among other factors, this includes the complexity of combining GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Compass) with an increasing number of new signals and a variety of GNSS sensors. What is the future direction of reference services with proprietary manufacturer-based services on the one hand and standard-based independent services on the other? The question is "What do users actually require today"? ALLSAT OPEN 2010 will provide a detailed view on precise GNSS applications. Among the speakers at ALLSAT OPEN 2010 are: Prof. Chris Rizos, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, Dr. Javad Ashjaee, Javad GNSS and experts from research organisations as BKG, GFZ, DLR German Aerospace Centre, service and GNSS companies such as AXIO-NET, Geo++, Leica Geosystems, Trimble Navigation, Ordnance Survey UK, complex users such as Eurocopter, Deutsche Bahn and several other experts in precision GNSS applications.

Bridging GIS, Landscape Ecology and Remote Sensing for Landscape Planning (GISLERS)
Registration Deadline: May 1, 2010 In a set of lectures, group work and practicals participants focus on using Geographic Information Systems and Spatial Analysis techniques to model spatially explicit processes, and develop reliable models for scenario output. The course emphasises on spatial patterns, landscape management and resource protection while considering the spatial distribution and flow of substances, materials, energy and individuals in the environment - and in consequence the distribution of landscape features. The Summer School will provide an insight into leading edge developments of GIS and object based image analysis (OBIA). Participants have the opportunity to attend sessions at the GI Forum 2010

Spatial Data Infrastructure for environmental datasets (EnviSDI)
Registration Deadline: May 1, 2010 The Summer School considers aspects of data organization, data harmonization as well as semantic and technical interoperability in order to produce seamless geospatial information across Europe and to improve the data access for a wide community of different user groups. Learning about methodologies and the application of structural specifications for the description and harmonization of spatial environmental data within Europe as well as the operation of a corresponding Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) are main objectives. Participants will establish and operate an education network (SDIe_NET) dealing with services for spatial datasets and metadata. The ultimate training objective of the Summer School is to jointly set up a (geo-)web service to discuss data schemes from different disciplines in order to understand the challenge of arriving at one denominator within a very heterogeneous field of researchers and applications. Participants have the opportunity to attend sessions at the GI Forum 2010 www.gi-forum.org/and the AGIT Symposium www.agit.at.
