6th gvSIG Conference: Knowledge for changeOrganized by the Association for the promotion of FOSS4G and the development of gvSIG (gvSIG Association).
Through the exchange of knowledge, we are attempting to construct a new reality where the common values of free software in the scientific field, are those that determine the economic and political aspects of the gvSIG Project; knowledge that will allow us to build a new reality, knowledge for Change. This is the slogan for the 6th International gvSIG conference.
Registrations are free of cost (limited capacity) and must be done through the application form on the Registration section [1].
Every report at the Conference will have simultaneous interpretation (Spanish-English and English-Spanish).

The user meeting will take place in Amsterdam on 9th December at the RAI Convention Centre

Faro Technologies UK Ltd, the world’s leading provider of portable measurement and imaging solutions, announces its first Pan-European user meeting for laser scanner customers.
The laser scanner user meeting will take place on 9th December at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam one day after SPAR Europe 2010, the event that will showcase the next-generation scanning and 3D imaging technology.
The user meeting will be a great possibility for best practice exchange, share experience, look more closely at the latest product developments – as for example the new FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D and the software SCENE, and discuss specific user needs. The meeting will also give the opportunity to share first experiences regarding the use of the FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D, the new laser scanner launched by FARO at the beginning of October.
FARO is inviting customers to prepare short presentations of about 5 minutes to share information about their company, case studies and experiences.
The event is free of charge.
